Royal Mencap, the UK's leading learning disability charity, would like to offer your readers an unforgettable travel challenge in a unique and fascinating region, largely unexplored by tourists.
In May 2001, Mencap will be organising a 12-day trek through the astounding scenery of Nepal and Tibet. Experience the contrast between the bustling streets of Kathmandu, the lush Nepalese forests and the breathtaking ruggedness of the high Tibetan plateau.
Seize the chance to learn more about the rich culture of the Tibetan people while raising funds to support people with a learning disability to fulfil their potential. Mencap is seeking experienced and non-experienced trekkers to take up this challenge!
All you need to do is pay a £300 registration fee and raise a minimum sponsorship requirement and then flights, food and accommodation are all covered. Anyone is welcome to take part and Mencap will support you every step of the way.
Please call (0845) 9777779 to receive your free Trek Tibet pack or e-mail events@mencap.org.uk or write to: Trek Tibet, Mencap, Freepost, London. EC1B 1AA.
