I WOULD like to tell your readers about the Flora London marathon.

Running the exhilarating 2001 Flora London marathon for Imperial Cancer Research Fund will change the lives of participants and help save the lives of others.

Success in meeting the physical and mental challenges involved in this event will give runners new-found strengths and skills for living as well as a fantastic sense of achievement.

The sponsorship money they raise will enable Imperial Cancer to change other people's lives, by finding new answers to cancer.

More than 600 runners for Imperial Cancer raised nearly half a million pounds between them in the year 2000 London marathon. The charity aims to do even better at the next event and is appealing to your readers to help achieve its goal of funding yet more of its vital cancer research programme.

Readers can find out about running the 2001 London marathon by phoning our Running Hotline on (0870) 1621622. Application forms for a place in the 2001 London marathon need to be submitted by today (Friday October 20). Entry forms are available from 1,500 sports shops nationwide.

If your readers are not successful in securing a place through the 2001 London marathon ballot (they will find out in December) then they should apply for an Imperial Cancer Research Fund Golden Bond place. Call our running hotline for more information on this.
