TROWBRIDGE League Division One football team West Lavington have had their fixtures suspended after the unexplained postponement of the scheduled home game against Melksham Town A.
Club officials have also been ordered to appear before the league management committee to give an explanation.
A league spokesman said: "Melksham Town A turned up for the game and as yet we have received no explantion from West Lavington why they were not there."
Division Two Woolpack Wasps, who have been based at Sutton Veny, have resigned from the league because of a shortage of players.
They lost several players during the summer and have been unable to replace them.
Secretary Rob McFerran said: "There was a lack of commitment from the players. There were only five that you could guarantee would turn up every week and once you are on the slippery slope it just snowballs."
