A THIEF has stolen two nine-week-old Jack Russell puppies from a Westbury woman.
Stella Burfitt, 74, also has five adult dogs, and was delighted when two of them gave birth within weeks of each other.
Unable to keep all the puppies in her small bungalow, Miss Burfitt placed an advert in the window of the Home & Pets shop in Westbury.
Last Wednesday a man called at the bungalow asking to see the puppies and Miss Burfitt took him to the back garden.
He took two of the puppies, saying he would show them to his wife, who he said was in the car, and never returned.
One of the missing dogs is male, with a black head. The other, a female, has a black and white head.
