COLIN Todd has urged his team to keep things simple as they prepare to face West Country rivals Bristol Rovers tomorrow (Saturday, October 21).
The Town boss fears some of his players are trying to over-do things when they cross the white line.
Town have had an up and down season with too many poor performances alongside heartening displays.
They have not scored a goal in their last two games and Todd believes they must learn to keep things simple and to simply stick to their jobs.
Todd said: "The main thing for me is that I see the team learning all of the time.
"They have been together for a few months now and they should all know their jobs. I sometimes think the players are trying to do too much. They are doing the difficult things instead of keeping it simple."
Town now have five home games in the next six matches.
Re-arranged encounters with Cambridge (October 31) and Wrexham (November 7) have given Todd's side a lengthy home spell.
Bobby Howe and Sol Davis are suspended for the Cambridge game.
