A thousand faces greeted shoppers in the town centre this weekend.
As part of a bid by Contemporary Artists of Swindon (CAOS), members of the public were invited to draw any face they wanted on a stand outside Debenhams in the Parade.
Dogs, penguins and cartoon men were just some of the faces drawn by adults and children on Saturday between 9am and 4pm.
The aim of the day was to get a thousand faces drawn and to get shoppers involved in art.
It cost each member of the public 50 pence to draw a face, with money going to CAOS workshops in underprivileged areas.
At the end of the day there was also a raffle of all the faces with the winner getting £50.
There were two seperate categories one for children under 10 years of age and one for adults. The organisers hoped to raise around £400 towards the cause.
Organiser Gordon Dickinson said: "This event shows that art can be fun and it is something which everyone can get involved with. We had a lot of support from shoppers."
