Visitors to Steam, Swindon's brand new railway museum can now buy a fully illustrated guide book to the attractions on show.
Designed so that visitors can get the most out of their experience, it gives insights into the displays and in depth information about the Great Western Railway and the Swindon Works.
The book outlines the history of the railway in the town from 1841 when the decision was made to site the works here to the final closure in 1986 and details the refurbishment and restoration programmes which have made Steam a reality.
The guide also focuses on the achievements of the men and women who worked there.
Steam Curator Tim Bryan author of the Guide Book has designed it to appeal to visitors whatever their knowledge of the railway.
He said: "I am delighted with how its turned out, and hope that it is as enjoyable for people to read."
The Guide is packed with full colour photographs of the museum and its displays together with fascinating black and white and sepia archive shots of the works, the oldest dating back as far as 1834.
James Shallow, Steam Retail Manager said: "Many people have been waiting for this Guide Book to come out. It's going to be very popular with our visitors."
The Guide is priced at £3.50 and is on sale at the Steam Gift Shop which is open from 10am to 6pm daily.
