No sooner had Mr Blair asserted that the European Charter of Citizen's Rights was merely a political declaration, and not legally binding, than his fellow EU leaders were busy making clear that that was far from the case.
The German Foreign Minister Joschka Fischer stated that he saw the charter as an incipient European constitution, then Romano Prodi said that not only should it give EU judges the power to override British law, but "it will".
The UK should get out of the madhouse EU and spend the 11 billion pounds on benefiting the UK taxpayer for example restoring the earnings link to pensions and improving our society and not the continentals.
