A PRESSURE group for pensioners has been officially launched with an official cake-cutting ceremony.
'Action for Pensioners' was promoted to a packed audience at Saltford Community Hall earlier this month.
Audrey Cloet, the newly-elected chairman of the group, said: "This is a really exciting new venture which is already making an impact locally.
"We are looking forward to many older people in the area joining us, together we can really make a difference.
Audrey Cloet, chairman of 'Action for Pensioners', is pictured at the ceremonial cake-cutting with local farmer and poet John Osborn and chairman of B&NES, Cllr Bryan Organ.
Action for Pensioners is also looking for somebody with artistic skills to produce its own logo.
To join the group, call Pam Richards at Social Services on 01225 477808.
