Tail backs were caused on the A420 when a lorry heading towards Swindon from Oxford left the road.
The accident on Tuesday, which involved a box van, happened at the turning for Little Coxwell.
No other vehicle was involved and the driver was unhurt.
The accident at 7.30am caused delays in the rush-hour. The vehicle was recovered at 11.30am and BT engineers repaired a broken telephone line.
