Auditions for young Swindon dancers to perform in a full production of The Nutcracker in the spring are being held next month.
The English Youth Ballet is coming to Swindon's Wyvern Theatre on April 27 and 28, 2001, and the company needs 100 dancers aged between eight and 18 years.
The auditions are on Sunday December 3 at the Wyvern Theatre.
Janet Lewis, director of English Youth Ballet is keen to give young dancers an opportunity to perform the full length classical ballets within a professional setting, but local to where they live.
The guest dancers and choreographers will be Ursula Hageli and Richard Slaughter who also have their own company Ballet Creations.
English Youth Ballet was first started in 1998.
This year Coppelia was a complete success in Yeovil, Edmonton and Woking and dancers are currently rehearsing The Nut-cracker in Norwich.
Any dancers interested in joining the prestigious ballet company should contact their administrative office on 020 8691 2806.
