BOOKWORMS from St Margaret's School have been chosen to act as judges in the country's biggest childrens' book prize.
The annual Nestle Smarties Book Prize will be judged in London on November 29, and a class of six to eight-year-olds from the Calne preparatory school will be competing for the chance to help Newsround presenter Lizo Mzimba present the awards.
Tricia Black of Nestle said: "Hundreds of books were submitted by publishing companies this year and assessed by a panel of adult judges including Julia Eccleshare, childrens' book editor for The Guardian, before being passed to the children who will have the final word."
The children were sent the books to choose from before half term and as well as voting for their favourite, they have been asked to present a class project about it. The school with the winning project will go to the awards ceremony.
