MYSTERY surrounds the launch of a new product at Dyson's Tetbury Hill headquarters in Malmesbury next week.
A company spokesmen refused to reveal whether it is the washing machine Dyson developers are rumoured to have been working on.
It is widely believed a prototype washing machine has already been secretly tested in the homes of several Dyson employees in the town.
The purple and silver invitation to next Thursday's launch gives no clues, but says: "1993, Dyson introduced revolutionary vacuum cleaner technology. 2000, new Dyson technology."
Whatever the product, Dyson feels it is important enough to provide air travel to allow guests from London to attend the launch at the firm's top secret research and development centre.
A Dyson spokesman said: "I can't say anything. It's all a big surprise that will be unveiled on the day. But it's an exciting product and it will be worth the wait."
