THE Wigglybus is coming to the aid of The Shak youth club in Pewsey with a new evening service starting after the half term holiday to take children from other villages into the centre .
Currently the senior section of the club has about 400 members.
But Ivor Richards who runs The Shak with Jayne Shenstone, said they are aware there are a large number of potential members from villages around the Pewsey Vale who have no transport to get into the centre in Wilcot Road.
Mr Richards said: "We have recently announced that, through negotiation with the Wigglybus organisers, an evening service will enable young people to get into Pewsey from other villages.
Alongside the main facilities of The Shak, the new SK8-2000 BMX bicycle and skateboarding club is going from strength to strength. The club, which is run by a committee of young people, now has a membership of nearly 60.
The junior side of The Shak, for 11 to 13-year-olds, remains in desperate need of adult volunteers to help run it.
Mr Richards said: "We have made several appeals to parents to volunteer some time to get things off the ground. Unfortunately nobody has been in contact. Anyone interested can call (01672) 562469.
