Redingensians 15 Salisbury 12: Salisbury's loyal band of travelling supporters witnessed the most spectacular game of rugby this season - even though Salisbury ran out narrow losers.
The opening minute was a shocker with the Reds' centre running through unopposed to score under the post: 7-0 down in 60 seconds.
Worse was to follow when Reds dummied to set up a two-man overlap. The conversion was missed and Salisbury started playing with ball in hand. No. 8, Parsons broke from the back of a scrum and set up quick ruck ball for winger Buckingham to weave through three tackles to score. Cameron converted.
Salisbury maintained the pressure and were unlucky to have a try disallowed for a forward pass. Reds started the second half with 20 minutes of pressure - a ruck infringement giving the home side an easy three points.
Salisbury turned up the gas, forcing a lineout on Reds' 10-metre line. Parsons caught, Whalley drove and the ball came out for Buckingham to score his second try - too wide to convert.
With seconds to 'no side' Salisbury won a penalty and elected to kick for a draw. King stepped up and the crowd held its breath. But this wasn't Salisbury's day and the ball went wide.
