ANDY KING has been told he could keep the Town manager's job on a permanent basis if results improve.
Chairman Terry Brady met with King Wednesday night to discuss his role as caretaker boss following the departure of Colin Todd. And Brady revealed he was willing to give King full support.
"Andy King steps in to the role for now and I am sure he can do a great job for us," said Brady. "He has the support of myself and everyone involved with the football club.
"I believe in giving everyone a chance in life so let's see how he does and then, if he does well, we won't have to bring in a new man. Andy knows the players, he has his own ideas on football and he is his own man. I like him, he has a great character and he will get the chance to earn the job permanently."
King takes charge of his first game at Notts County on Saturday.
