WE often read about newspapers taking on campaigns to fight for the side, and for the rights, of the little man when facing the giant.

Over the past months there have been articles on the individual efforts, and now village community efforts, to obtain a fair and just settlement for the disruption and costs caused by the failure of the mains gas supply in Marlborough on March 31.

I write to challenge the Gazette and Herald to pick up the gauntlet of organising a co-ordinated campaign against the giant for the benefit of your readership.

The Gazette has featured the gas story since the beginning and we are more than happy to keep questioning the companies on why they are stalling on this payout. Is anyone else in favour of such an appoach?
