CARNIVAL comes to Warminster this weekend with more than 50 floats expected in what should be one of the best processions .
The male Major Wrecks from Devizes will be joined by Avon Glen Pipes and Drum and 37th Kingswood Drum and Bugle band.
Warminster and Wiltshire carnival princess, Lauren Barlow, 11, who attends Kingdown School will make a star appearance.
Exotic floats can be expected with the Brazilian style Hot Rock float, from Gillingham one of the most outstanding entries.
Proceeds go to Wiltshire Air Ambulance and Warminster Community Radio, who are hoping to get their full licence next year and will broadcast live.
Warminster carnival committee chairman, Sandra Major, said: "We have had over 50 entries so that is better than expected."
Carnival begins at 7.30pm with the town centre closed until 9.30pm.
Assembly point is Boreham Road.
