Bath City take on Forest Green Rovers tomorrow in an FA Cup clash that has a distinct Swindon Town flavour to it.
Dr Martens side City are managed by former County Ground favourite Paul Bodin, while Rovers, who play in the Conference, feature Jason Drysdale.
Bodin is assisted by ex-Town striker Steve White and has several other players with an STFC connection, including Jon Holloway, of the community office, and soccer centres co-ordinator, Jimmy Fraser.
However, Rovers' ex-Swindon striker Paul Hunt is injured and will not play. He scored a hat-trick last season as Rovers embarked on a fine cup run, but misses out this year.
Bodin, who yesterday told the Evening Advertiser he would be interested in the manager's job at Town following Colin Todd's departure, has not hung up his boots and is likely to taste the unique cup atmosphere yet again.
He will also take part in the Charity Match at the County Ground on Sunday, when Town's 1993 promotion-winning side are pitted against a celebrity XI.
The 36-year-old is looking forward to the cup match and is hoping for success.
He said: "It is a big game on Saturday, away at Forest Green. There are a few Swindon connections and a lot of other connections between the two sides.
"We are fairly confident. The pressure is on them as the Conference team.
"We are going to go there and enjoy it. We are going to take three or four hundred supporters there, so it should be good.
"We are doing OK this season. We are not quite as high in the league as we would have liked, but we have only played 12 games and we will get better."
Former Welsh international Bodin is also relishing the prospect of linking up with his team-mates from the best Town side of recent years.
"It will be nice to see the lads," he said. "I still see Chalky (White) and Fraser Digby, but I don't really keep in touch with the others.
"It's all for a good cause and it will be good for us to grace the County Ground once more.
"I am looking forward to it. It will be good fun, and the more people that come, the better."
