DURING the past 10 years, at our own expense, my wife and I have worked tirelessly to develop and maintain Victoria Garden at All Saints Church, Westbury, for the benefit of the public.
In recent months despite constant vigilance, wilful vandalism has increased to such an extent that we have been forced to decide not to open the garden at all to the public during periods of school holidays and after school hours.
All parents should also note that the insurance that we have on the garden is invalidated if their children trespass thereon.
To all the many people that enjoy the peace and tranquillity of Victoria Garden we apologise.
We have tried our very best to maintain this valuable asset to the town but we are afraid that enough is enough.
