AT LAST, media support. The authorities, the police authority, and town council will do well to listen to the cry from the wilderness from Richard Hooper (Letters to the Editor, Wiltshire Times, October 20).
I too witnessed the destruction of the building in Bythesea Road and in fact went in to stop the carnage at risk to life and limb.
I also knew it was a waste of time to enter the police station reception knowing that to do so risks abuse, utter contempt from a couple of receptionists.
The word thank you is meaningless, a smile, well!
I have openly challenged the chief superintendent to be fobbed off with excuses.
I have asked the town council to invite the head of police to meet me in open forum, but to no avail.
We have a damned good police force spoilt by one or two bad apples.
Many, many people do not report crime for fear of being treated the same way as Mr Hooper .
