EXPERTS brought into assess the potential danger to health posed by tyre burning at Blue Circle Cement in Westbury submitted their reports this week.
Bristol Science and Research Consultant Dr Andy Tubb, Dr Derek Pheby, of the Unit of Applied Epidemology of the University of West England and Dr Vyvyan Howard, of the University of Liverpool, have all indicated that the health of people living in the Westbury area would probably be put at risk.
Dr Tubb stated: "The clear implication is that there is insufficient pollution control."
The reports also conclude that the trials held by Blue Circle between March and November last year left major questions unanswered and failed to produce any evidence of environmental improvement.
The Environment Agency is due to make a decision on the proposal by the end of November.
