The General Teaching Council (GTC) brings its roadshow to Swindon next week, giving teachers a chance to be heard.
Those attending the event on Monday at the Steam museum will be able to take part in discussions on issues such as continuing professional development and the development of a code of professional practice.
The Swindon roadshow is one of a series of events around the country.
The GTC was been established under the 1998 Teaching and Higher Education Act to promote and regulate the teaching profession.
GTC chairman David Puttnam will be talking about his vision for the future and chief executive Carol Adams will speak about the council's work with the profession.
Local GTC members will also be taking part in the main event.
Before the afternoon roadshow both David Puttnam and Carol Adams will be visiting Dorcan Technology College, Covingham, where they will meet teachers and pupils over lunch, and visit key areas of the college.
They will then move on to Seven Fields Primary School, Leigh Road, Penhill, where they will be given a tour of the school and the opportunity to talk to staff and pupils.
