TWO men leapt over a building society counter to steal cash during a robbery.
The pair were part of a three or four strong gang of black males who entered the Bristol and West Building Society in Regent Circus at 2.50pm on Friday.
Police are appealing for witnesses who may have seen the men running from the scene in the direction of the Top Rank bingo hall.
Detective Constable Craig Smith said no weapons were used but violent threats were made towards the staff. The amount of cash stolen is unknown.
He said: "We would like to make a general appeal for witnesses to come forward. Somebody would have seen these men in the area at around 3pm.
"The staff were left shaken but nobody was hurt."
All the men were wearing dark clothing, one may have had a moustache and one was wearing a woollen hat. If you saw them, or have any information, contact Swindon police on 528111
