POLICE investigating the disappearance of 15-year-old Swindon girl Nicola Cole have been examining CCTV footage of the town centre on the day she disappeared.
Greendown School pupil Nicola disappeared a week ago today on her way into the town centre.
Last seen at 4.30pm last Saturday, she failed to arrive at her home in Benwell Close, Westlea, as expected at 7pm.
Inspector Dave McMullin, of Swindon police, said: "We have no theories at all as to why Nicola has gone missing. We have spoken to a myriad of people, including her family and friends, and we are pursuing lines of inquiry from that."
It is believed Nicola had £10 and enough change for her bus fare on her when she disappeared.
It is not known if she has access to other money.
As well as checking CCTV footage of the town centre for sightings of Nicola, who is not believed to have had an argument with anyone before vanishing and has never disappeared before, officers have been interviewing family and friends for clues as to her whereabouts.
"A 15-year-old girl has gone missing and we are concerned," added Insp McMullin.
Last week Nicola was spending the week at PHH on work experience. The weekend before that she went to Brands Hatch with her mother for a world superbikes competition one of her passions.
Her parents, who have a son, 18-year-old David, are finding it increasingly difficult to cope with not knowing where their daughter is.
Nicola is described as white, 5ft 3in tall with short blonde hair and brown eyes. She is of medium build and her left eyebrow is pierced.
She was last wearing a cream jumper, beige fleece, black trousers and black platform boots.
Police are urging anyone who has information about Nicola's whereabouts, of Nicola herself, to contact them on Swindon 528111.
