Wootton Bassett recorded yet another win to put them up to fourth place in the Southern Counties South league.
They travelled down to Dorset to face Wimborne in lashing rain and gusty winds. It was a game that they were not expected to win, but they out-performed their opponents to win 13-0.
The Bassett forwards dominated the first half, but could not break the opposition's sturdy defence. Wimborne weathered the storm, and came back at a 6 point half-time deficit.
Bassett secured the game with a try from Mark Lewis after the Wimborne full-back fumbled a kick through.
The Third XV also emerged triumphant from their game with the Supermarine Firsts, when they won 15-5.
