Swindon RFC had yet another successful weekend, as they stayed in second place in the league on points difference, despite having won all of their games.
However, their most recent win of 31 points to six against Drifters on Saturday turned out to be a little tougher than expected.
A combination of factors hampered Swindon in their victory, the most significant of which was weather conditions more commonly associated with sports like mud wrestling.
Blustery winds and driving rain turned the game into a scrappy, if at times, amusing contest.
These conditions made it hard for Swindon to convert their dominance into points, and the slippery conditions led to a succession of missed oppourtunities.
The second team did not play, the thirds beat Chinnor Seconds 17-3, and the fourths lost 5-0 to Hungerford Seconds.
