Scouting groups in North Swindon were rewarded with a huge party on Sunday for putting in almost a year of hard work on a special challenge.
Since January, 14 groups in the district have been taking part in a millennium challenge based around the themes of adventure, international, community, spiritual and Scouting in the 21st century.
Scouts, Beavers, Cubs and Venture Scouts had to organise celebrations, cultural events and projects which benefit the community to mark the new century.
Their efforts culminated in an awards ceremony on Sunday where they were presented with a special millennium woggle by County Commissioner Stephen Chandler.
They were also treated to a buffet and entertainment from a magician and steel band at the event at WH Smith in Greenbridge.
Assistant district commissioner John Francis said: "They have risen to this challenge wonderfully. All the challenges were open-ended so the groups could decide what they wanted to do and the events they organised were all the results of their imagination."
