ROY McFARLAND is looking forward to locking horns with Andy King and saying thank you.
The Cambridge boss said: "Andy King is one of the people who got me back into football after I left Bolton and I have a lot of time for him.
"I'll be out to beat him tonight, but whatever happens we'll be having a drink after the game."
Cambridge started the season in fine form but have let things slip over recent weeks as they now sit 12th after being in a play-off place three games ago.
McFarland said: "It will be a much more even game than it would've been if it had been played when it was supposed to."
He had Swindon watched in their loss at Notts County at the weekend and thought Town were the better team.
He said: "Andy King has come in and got a good response from the team. Like us, they have lost three in a row and we have got to be a lot better tonight if we want to get anything out of the match."
McFarland, who played with Colin Todd in the great Derby side of the 1970s, has a few injury problems tonight as his side look to prevent Town from recording their second home win of the season.
Tom Youngs, the top scorer for Cambridge United with eight goals this season, is doubtful after suffering ankle and shin bruising early in Saturday's 3-1 defeat at Millwall.
He has not trained and has only a 50 per cent chance of playing against Swindon tonight.
Their other striker Zima Abbey is back in the squad. He had been left out for the last two matches by McFarland who has questioned his attitude following his failure to agree new terms for his contract.
However, Youngs' fitness problems are likely to force McFarland's hand and he is likely to select the striker.
Swindon will be looking to take advantage of an unorganised defence who have given away five goals in the last two games.
Having started the season well, only conceding four goals in seven games, they have let in seven in the last three.
Cambridge proved to be one of the surprise packages in the early stages of the season but recent poor performances have seen them slip down the table.
The U's were riding high on their return to Division Two football and two goals from Youngs helped them to an impressive 3-1 success at Oldham.
However, that was three weeks ago and they have now slumped.
As a result it is likely that defender Marc Joseph will come in to replace Andy Duncan who has suffered a loss of form recently.
Their form is a far cry from that they were enjoying when the game was originally postponed because of the fuel crisis in September.
