A TeamBath paralympics swimmer has won two gold medals and recorded a world record in one of his events.
Sascha Kindred, 22, who has trained at Bath University for six months claimed Britain's first gold in a record time of 2:57.42 seconds in the men's 200 metre medley.
He was delighted at beating his personal best time and smashing the world record.
He said: "I can't believe it. It's amazing three seconds off my personal best, I knew I was capable."
"I've been training in Bath for the last six months and I knew I could win. I had to break the world record to get gold and I've waited four years for this."
Mr Kindred achieved his first gold in the medley and then secured his second in the 100 metre men's breast stroke race two days later. He also took a bronze in the men's freestyle relay.
He beat Chinese rival Baoren Gong to secure his second gold in 1:25.13 minutes in a closely fought swim.
Mr Kindred was one of three paralympic athletes who trained at TeamBath's high performance centre.
His girlfriend Nyree Lewis narrowly missed a medal in the 200 metre individual medley, in her paralympic debut.
But Melanie Easter took the 400 metres freestyle in just over one minute coming second to China's Hongyan Zhu. Miss Easter left the games with gold, silver and bronze medals.
TeamBath helped Britain to come overall second in the medals table behind Australia.
