Winter is a horrible time for the NHS generally and already Princess Margaret Hospital is suffering from headlines about a shortage of beds forcing patients onto trolleys.
So we welcome the co-operation of the hospital trust's chief executive Sonia Mills in our attempt to explain the reasons behind the winter crisis.
One message she wants to give loud and clear is that she and her colleagues are doing all they can to tackle the problem.
But, with a lack of spare capacity in Wiltshire's nursing homes, it is clear they are facing an uphill battle.
