AUSTRALIAN striker Danny Invincible fired Andy King closer to the County Ground hot-seat with a dynamite double.
The lad from Down Under smashed home two spectacular volleys to earn Town a 3-1 victory over Cambridge their first victory for five games.
The three points is bound to strengthen King's position as he bids to fill the boots left behind by Colin Todd.
Todd, currently on 'garden leave' as chairman Terry Brady waits for compensation over his move to Derby County, will not be coming back as manager and King has made it clear that he wants the job.
"I am going to do the job and see what happens. I have no doubt about my ability," he said. "The chairman is going to have to make a decision on performances and the way I handle situations. I do not want to leave things long.
"It can't go on because you get too familiar with the players. He said that he would judge me very quickly and that is the situation where we are at. I am enjoying it. I had perhaps forgotten how much I enjoyed it."
