Bikers who met at a special reunion say it was so successful they are already planning their 2002 get together.
Some 130 people many more than expected travelled to Cricklade for the second reunion of the old Cricklade branch of the BSA Owners Club.
Barry Palmer, who formed the club in 1967, described the event as "absolutely brilliant".
"It went better than we expected and so it was agreed to hold another reunion in the year 2002," he said.
"And this time we hope it will be a weekend event."
Barry said BSA enthusiasts travelled from as far Germany and Holland, despite the bad weather, to attend the gathering.
At one time the membership of the local club reached over 70 and it was the largest of all the UK branches.
They used to meet in a clubroom at Cricklade but when that was sold off they met in various Swindon pubs.
Membership gradually dwindled and the club became the Wiltshire branch.
BSA which stands for Birmingham Small Arms stopped making the bikes in 1971 but enthusiasts still prize their machines.
