THE Royal British Legion this week launched its annual Poppy Appeal in Wiltshire and once again we urge all our readers to support it fully.
With each successive appeal there are fewer people around who remember the war or have first hand experiences of the sacrifices made and the lives that were lost.
That makes it all the harder for the legion to raise funds for its vital work with service families affected by all conflicts.
Buying a poppy and observing the two minutes' silence on November 11 is a tiny price to pay to honour those who gave so much.
