ANTONY and Allyson Windle, who run the Three Crowns pub at Brinkworth, will be enjoying a luxury break in Monte Carlo this month while they wait to learn if they have won a top award.
The couple, who won the regional heat in the Whitbread Pubs partnership's excellence awards, will compete for the national accolade at the final in the pub business of the year category.
It will be held at the Meridian Beach Plaza, in Monte Carlo, on November 14.
They are up against the three other regional winners.
Whitbread Pubs Partnerships managing director Robbie Halkett said: "The excellence awards signify our total commitment to the development of our lessees business and our recognition of their achievements.
"Running pubs that are focused on delivering an exceptional experience to the customer is the priority of our business and that means rewarding our lessees who are at the forefront in terms of standard setting.
"We believe that this exciting awards programme and three-day break in Monte Carlo goes a long way in doing that and we would like to wish all our regional winners good luck in the national final."
