A PLAY inspired by the life of civil rights crusader Martin Luther King is coming to Aldbourne.

The Watermill Theatre's travelling production of Days and Nights of an American Dream will be presented in the Memorial Hall on November 18.

The visit by the touring company from the Newbury theatre has been organised by the Aldbourne Millennium Festival Committee.

Spokesman Millie Shepherd said: "The Aldbourne festival committee is honoured to be able to host such prestigious work."

She added: "Part of the profits will be put towards refurbishment of Aldbourne's Memorial Hall which is the Millennium project of the village."

Tickets are available from Aldbourne Post Office, or from Francis May butchers priced at £6 adults, £3 concessions, £15 family.
