ONE group of youngsters in the Marlborough and Pewsey area do not need to be told to get their skates on. They are members of the Moonrakers Roller Skating Club who have returned from competitions with a number of awards this year.
The club, formed three years ago, has two sessions a week, at Pewsey Leisure Centre on Thursdays from 5.50pm to 7.50pm and at Marlborough Leisure Centre on Saturdays from 4pm to 7pm.
Two of the club's keenest supporters and committee members are Tony and Kay Attoe whose ten-year-old daughter Natalie is one of the Moonrakers' 14 girl skaters. Any boys would be welcome to join, said Mrs Attoe.
The Moonrakers club specialises in artistic roller dancing, like Torville and Dean but without the ice.
Like most clubs in their formative years, the Moonrakers skating club is desperate for financial support, said Mrs Attoe.
Club members pay £8 a week for five hours' tuition. More information is available from Mr and Mrs Attoe on (01635) 847444.
