I READ with interest Cllr Fox's letter in your edition dated October 27. No evidence of increased fly tipping! Perhaps he should open his eyes and also read your paper because that is not what the councillor from Melksham said at the Melksham Council meeting which was also attended by a member of the Environmental Services. Do the district council members communicate to one another or do they just not listen?
Thank you to the councillor for pointing out to me the recycling bins at Hilperton School which, for his information, I have been aware of for many years. However these bins do not cater for the recyclable plastic packaging and plastic bottles or excess household waste which will increase in the 21st century.
Surely it is not the voting public who need to be educated on "waste management" but the manufacturers of the products that create the excess waste in this disposable age.
