Shoppersat Asda in West Swindon could hardly avoid knowing that it is British Sausage Week.
Mr Sausage mingled with customers in the aisles and staff were selling portions from the world's longest sausage.
The record-breaking banger was produced in 42 hours by the supermarket chain's staff in Sheffield and measured an unbroken 36 miles in length. It was selling for 99p a yard.
All profits from the sale of the sausage went to the NSPCC's Full Stop Campaign, as part of a £20,000 fundraising drive by the supermarket chain.
