BBC Points West presenter Susan Osman and her colleagues have been put through their paces at an army training camp in Wiltshire.
They have been doing some serious stamina training for the radio and television broadcasts of Children in Need on November 17, clambering over assault courses at the 9th Supply Regiment headquarters near Chippenham.
Children in Need will be broadcast on BBC1 from 7pm until midnight and on local BBC radio stations throughout the day, including Wiltshire Sound.
Viewers will be able to catch up with the news team doing the assault course on the night by making donations to the fund by calling on 0845 733 2233.
