VIDEO footage will be viewed before Andy King decides whether to appeal against Bart Griemink's sending off.

The tall Dutchman was given his marching orders after the assistant referee ruled that he had handled outside the box.

It was a close call and one which King believes was possibly too narrow for the linesman to be absolutely sure.

"Video evidence of the incident is going to be very important," he said. "The linesman told me that he was a yard or more outside of his box. But I am not happy about that.

"As he was making that decision he was running. He was not standing and looking along the line, but trying to keep up with a very quick game of professional football.

"I said to him that he had to be 1000 per cent sure that, in making that decision, it was the right one because that affects my job.

"Had we lost today then maybe I would not be caretaker manager anymore and I could have been out of the club."

King believes something needs to be done to improve the standard of assistants.

"The FA sit up there in their glass houses and say we need to improve the game. Well they need to start doing something about it in my book," he said.

"The simple fact is that I have Danny Invincible in my team who does 100 yards in 10.6 seconds almost Olympic standard. He does the halfway line to the goal-line in 5.2 seconds.

"I have a linesman who trains one day a week and it is a toss-up between him and my missus who is the unfittest. He has got to keep up with play, but how can he do it?"

Griemink was distraught after being sent off.

"My keeper has told me he was not outside of the area, that his foot was outside, but he moved his body to bring the ball back in," he said. "The linesman says he was a yard outside the box. Somebody is wrong so I will have a look at the video and see whether there is an option to appeal.

"As a manager you know your players and you trust them."
