Andy King was handed the manager's role at Swindon Town tonight (Tues 7th Nov) following an inspiring 2-2 draw at home to Wrexham.
Peter Rowe called a press conference immediately after the match where King's appointment was announced by Town supremo Terry Brady. Although a contract has yet to be signed, King accepted the role shortly before kick off at the County Ground as revealed in the Evening Advertiser on Monday.
The promotion of King to the manager's role was followed by the news that Malcolm Crosby will be number two.
In his comments to the press Terry Brady was confident that King will steer Swindon out of the depths of Division Two.
"Andy is like a breath of fresh air, the players, backroom staff and everyone at Swindon Town Football Club have noticed the positive impact he has made over the last four games"
Asked if there was money in the kitty for new players King replied "The chairman has asked me to write up two lists, one for Harrods and one for Tesco, we'll probably go for something in between".
At the moment King is happy with his squad and will only dip into the transfer market if his players fail to perform.
