POLICE were flooded with calls on Tuesday evening as trick or treaters caused havoc in Trowbridge and Bradford on Avon.
Fireworks were thrown around by youths in Asda car park, with police reporting that a car had been set on fire by a stray firework.
Asda spokesman Colette Blanchfield said: "There were children setting off fireworks in the car park.
"As soon as it was spotted, security took control of the situation.
"It could have been dangerous for the customers and for the children themselves."
There were also several cases of egg throwing incidents in Trowbridge, with houses being targeted in Manor Road, Lambrok Road and Dursley Road.
In Bradford on Avon, police were sent in to disperse a 50-strong gang of youths which was reported to be yelling abuse and throwing eggs at passers-by in Palairet Street.
