A hercules aircraft from RAF Lyneham will play a starring role in the Lord Mayor's Show in London this Saturday, November 11.
The plane from No 47 Squad-ron will be representing the Royal Air Force when it makes a flypast over the parade outside Mansion House, the official residence of the Lord Mayor of London.
It will fly at a height of 1,000 feet immediately after the two minute silence has been observed to remember the dead of two world wars.
The aircraft's captain will be Fl Lt Mark Raymond, who says that it is a great honour that the Lyneham transport base has been chosen to provide the salute.
Other crew members who are taking part in the flypast are Fl Lt Dave Stewart (co-pilot), Fl Lt Marcus Tuck (navigator), Fl Lt Andy Valentine (flight engineer) and Sergeant Den Kelly (Airloadmaster).
