CALNE'S NSPCC Lend and Play Toy Library celebrated its first birthday with a party on Thursday.
The facility, based in the Calne Family Centre at Broken Cross, operates like a book library and was initially funded by a grant from the Millennium Commission and is run by four NSPCC volunteers.
On Thursday organisers cut a cake and celebrated with parents and children.
"We had a wonderful day with lots of kids here and it was very positive, said Tracie Young, of Calne Family Centre
"We achieved what we wanted to on our birthday, in letting the people of Calne know they have a toy library here and we enrolled some new members on the day."
The toy library is open to every parent in Calne. Contact (01249) 813270.
