NORTH Wiltshire District Council has agreed to sell 42, High Street, Wootton Bassett for an undisclosed fee.
The council bought the shop for a nominal fee in a compulsory purchase order two years.
It refurbished the shop before letting it out as a children's drop-in centre.
"English Heritage helped to partly fund the purchase and it was an agreement that it would sold on and the money used for other worthwhile causes," said a district council spokesman.
The spokesman said the shop had been bought for £30,000 and had up to £80,000 of work done on it.
The shop was used as a youth centre for some time, with Wootton Bassett Town Council financing the initiative, Wiltshire County Council overseeing it and providing staff, and the district council providing premises.
The sale should be rubber stamped at the next full council meeting on Tuesday.
"I understand it is to be used for retail use," said Coun Steve Bucknel.
