PUPILS at Pewsey Primary School made convincing pirates when they staged Treasure Island for an audience of parents and teachers.
Pupils from the after school drama club, which is run with the help of the Moonrakers Theatre Group, put on their own production of the swashbuckling classic at the school Wednesday November 1.
Acting head Andy Bridewell: "It had a fun element to it with lots of singing and dancing which the children taking part and the audience enjoyed.
"The children had been well motivated to put on a top class performance."
The children had only five after school sessions before presenting the play. Mr Bridewell said: "We were very impressed at how quickly they got it all together."
The theatre club has been organised as part of the school's commitment to drama in the curriculum and also to encourage children to take an active part in stage productions.
Later this term another theatre company is to attend the school to present the classic tale of The Beauty and The Beast for an audience of pupils.
