ARTWORK by pupils from all over the south west is currently on show in the art school at Dauntsey's School, West Lavington.
The exhibition, entitled Young at Art, runs until November 17 and includes work by children from Dauntsey's School and Dauntsey's Aided Primary School, West Lavington; The Mill School, Potterne; Urchfont Primary; Wolborough Hill, Newton Abbot; Chafyn Grove, Salisbury; Leaden Hall, Salisbury and All Hallows, Shepton Mallet.
A wide variety of media and subjects is on display, the only linking theme being the youth of the artists. The exhibition is the latest in a series of co-operative initiatives arranged by Dauntsey's with its feeder primary and prep schools.
An IT outreach venture with Dauntsey's Aided School is proving successful. Every Thursday, 35 pupils from years five and six spend an hour in the Dauntsey's School IT suites. The scheme was a joint initiative between Dauntsey's headmaster Stewart Roberts and the new head at the primary school, Jacqui Monckton.
