WITH reference to Coun Allnatt's letter in the Gazette on October 5 and the reporting of Lifeline increases, I must point out that there have been two omissions.
Firstly, the Conservative and Independent groups are unable to defeat the Lib-Lab administration and did not vote to sell Chippenham's Gaumont site for housing.
The opposition supported public consultation on the future of the site, with details of what the costs would be to the council tax payers in North Wiltshire and asked that this be carried out quickly before any decision was made.
Secondly, the Conservative group on the executive not only opposed the increases for Lifeline some being 150 per cent over two years but also thought the review should be carried out before considering the charges.
