FURTHER to the Gazette's article headlined 'Council is facing a shake-up over waste' I am appalled, as most council tax payers will be, that a member of North Wiltshire District Council can announce that we all have our waste collected free of charge.
If, for the considerable amounts we pay, we were afforded the courtesy of being asked how we would like this tax to be spent, I am sure that our present excellent waste collection service would be placed far above some of the downright wasteful if not criminal expenses by North Wiltshire District Council that have happened all too frequently in the recent past.
